FuelGauge tracks your Claude usage in real time. Here's everything you need to know to get the most out of your subscription.
The toolbar icon and advice banner change color based on your usage pace.
On track. Your usage matches ideal pace. Keep going.
Under-utilized. You're leaving budget on the table. Every unused % at reset is money wasted.
Watch out. You'll hit the limit before reset. The banner tells you exactly how long to pause.
Running low. Less than 20% left. If it hits 0%, Claude goes unavailable until reset.
Free users see a simplified status (e.g. 'On track' or 'Watch out'). Detailed pace data, cooldown timers, and depletion predictions are Pro features.

The badge number on the icon = remaining %. You can change the source in Settings (worst limit, session, weekly, or sonnet).

| Pace delta | How far ahead or behind ideal you are. Positive = over-using. Negative = under-using. |
| Cooldown | How long to pause so ideal pace catches up with your actual usage. |
| Depletion ETA | When your budget hits 0% at current speed. Only shows when you're over-pacing. |
| Catch-up X | How much faster to use Claude to consume your full budget. Only shows when under-utilizing. |
| Projected waste | % of budget that will expire unused at reset if you keep this pace. |
| Efficiency score | 0-100. Higher = closer to perfect pace. 100 = exactly on track. |
| Trend arrow | Accelerating, decelerating, or stable over the last 2+ hours. |

Unlock ProGet alerted before you run out. Not after.
When a limit crosses your alert threshold (default: 20%), FuelGauge sends a Chrome notification. Fires once per reset period so you're not spammed.
Connect your own ntfy.sh topic in Settings. Alerts go to your phone even when your browser is closed. Priority scales with urgency.
Get notified the moment your 5-hour session window resets. Start a new session immediately to make the most of the fresh budget.
Common issues and how to fix them.
Your Claude session expired. Open claude.ai, log in, and the next poll recovers automatically.
Click the refresh button in the dashboard footer (Pro only). If polling still fails, check that you're logged in to claude.ai in the same browser profile.

FuelGauge reads your usage from claude.ai/settings/usage using your existing browser session. No API key needed. No data leaves your browser — everything is stored locally.
After purchasing Pro, you'll receive a license key by email. Paste it in Settings at the bottom. It activates on up to 3 browsers.
